Founded in 2016

Founded in 2016 by Elisabet Brock, Gunnar Cervin, Fredrik Gröndahl, Gunilla Toth, Henrik Palvia, and Göran Nylund, all representing Gothenburg University or KTH, it grew from a pioneering research project into a real seaweed cultivation company. After proving the possibility of large-scale seaweed farming off Sweden’s west coast, the founders set out to share their innovation with the world, making Nordic SeaFarm a leading force in seaweed cultivation. Today Nordic SeaFarm has a full R&D and hatchery department, processing team and a commercial team that is working on selling large volumes of seaweed to industries
across Europe and beyond.
